31 YEARS of suffering with migraine
by the power of
God healed When I was around 12 years old, I started
suffering from terrible headaches, the doctors diagnosed me with migraines and was put on treatment. The migraines persisted until I accepted that they are part of me. My mother took me to different doctors seeking help, thinking I would heal quickly and not need medication. However, we were told it is a chronic illness, and I would have to be on medication forever. To make things worse, I started having seizures.
It was a painful journey for me going through all this as a child.
In continuous search for help, my mother was advised to take me to an Inyanga and traditional prophets, who told her I had an ancestral calling and needed to be initiated to get rid of the migraines. Due to lack of funds and procrastination on my mom’s part, praise God this never happened. I should emphasize that my maternal family was prayerful, especially my grandaunt, but out of desperation, my mother secretly took me to the Inyanga who made the situation worse. I was receiving both the doctor’s and the Inyanga’s treatments. Eventually, as I grew older, we moved away from the area where we had lived to start a new life elsewhere, and contact
with the Inyanga was lost. I continued with the doctor’s treatment.
Fast forward, I am now grown and still suffering from migraines. In 2024, a doctor I consulted with referred me for an MRI at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital to check for irregularities. I booked the scan in January, but it was only done in August that year. The scan cleared me, indicating nothing was wrong with my head. Although I was happy to be cleared, I remember the doctor asking if I wanted to continue treatment. I was reminded again that the struggle was not over, as the cause of my migraines was still unknown. I decided I would continue with the previous treatment plan.
At that point, I was emotionally, mentally, physically, and psychologically drained, feeling despair about what my life had become. In June 2021 I was diagnosed with depression, and immediately put on antidepressants. I started therapy but it was not helping , I was dealing with fear and anxiety. At this point the migraines pain was so intense that I shaved my hair in 2022 because I felt overwhelmed, I could not wear wigs, I could not tie my hair anyway. Al, this now escalated to insomnia, I could not sleep. >

THE BEGINNING OF HOPE
In 2023 a friend of mine introduced me to Warrior Women Prayer Movement, this is an interdenominational prayer gathering for women that meets every once a month in Johannesburg for prayer meeting tagged 3 three hours prayer stretch. I joined this monthly prayers where we meet for three hours of intense warfare and worship. In this prayer movement I started learning about spiritual warfare, I started learning about Altars and destroying Altars, I learnt about obedience. In obedience I continued praying and faithfully attending the monthly
three hour Prayer stretch every month, I was still suffering from severe migraines and at some point I wondered if the prayers worked. But God kept asking me to go on.
WHAT DOCTORS FAILED GOD STEPPED IN
In May 2025 Monthly three hours Prayer stretch leader pastor ,our Judy Achero called for a three-day fast which is done the three days leading up to the monthly three-hour prayer meeting. We started fasting on May 7th, and the mandate was clear: we were praying for businesses. I remember asking God, as a self- employed woman, how I could continue running my business when I was constantly having terrible headaches.

In the three day fast I prayed for healing to enable me to manage my business. As someone who was accustomed taking migraine medication, I expected that I would need it even during the fast but since I was fasting I decided not to take the medication. For the first time in 31 years I did not take any pills.
This three days of fasting marked the beginning of my freedom. God healed me, and from that moment to this date, I no longer take any treatment for migraines or depression. I no longer have migraines. God healed me completely, from that day I have never taken any medication. One year down the line I am completely free and totally healed. God restored my joy , I feel happy I feel more alive it is a new dawn for me. To God be the glory. WWM
